Geriatrics

Geriatrics

A high quality of life, capacity for action and a maximum of self-reliance are our most important treatment objectives. Therefore, enabling our patients to do things by themselves, i.e. to be independent from therapeutic aids and other people in everyday life, lies at the centre of our work.

In the field of geriatrics, we take the special circumstances involved in the process of ageing, its disease patterns and related strains into account. In order to help our patients regain their independence and autonomy, we rebuild their lost action capacities and apply ourselves to maintaining and strengthening their existing skills. This includes enhancing their mobility and skilfulness, improving their orientation and retentiveness, and showing them how to help themselves with daily living activities, such as eating, getting dressed or communicating.

If you would like to find out more about the treatments and therapy options we offer, the following pages will provide you with a detailed overview.
