KIT based on Jansen®

We offer treatment based on Jansen®’s KIT method, i.e. physical interaction therapy, at our centre. This form of therapy is applied to children and adults with an aversion to physical contact. Children affected by this aversion tend to seek attention and affection by displaying recalcitrant behaviour and provoking power struggles. They are incapable of either accepting or embracing physical contact. As the desire to be physically accepted by others is an inherent feature of all human beings these children often suffer from severe behavioural disorders, including difficulties in maintaining relationships. Parents are affected as well as their children’s persistent resistance, e.g. when attempting to have a cuddle with them, causes them considerable distress. Children suffering from ADD or ADHD, disorders of perception, or autistic features are particularly prone to be affected.

This method of treatment is based on the approach of Dr. Fritz Jansen, a psychologist and trainer for behavioural therapy. Similar to Irina Precop’s approach focussing on posture patients treated this way learn to transform their experiences into a fixed set of rules.
